As a teenager I only had a few pimples. BUT now that I am a 37-year-old who is on hormone patches after having a hysterectomy a couple of years ago, I Break out all the time.
It is so embarrassing and I get really upset about it.
I am looking for any suggestions for a good brand of make-up that won't cost me an arm and a leg.
Several friends have suggested Bare Minerals but I don't like it. It makes my face greasy and shinning.
Thanks in advance!

I don't like Bare Minerals, either, because of the “dewy” look – the shine. But I like Everyday Minerals – same concept, but you can get it in a matte finish.
And it's cheaper, too. : )

I've used Mary Kay since the 6th grade. I still love how clean their cleansers get my skin and I love the coverage their makeup provides. Granted, this is coming from the woman who maybe spends 3 minutes on my face in the morning, but still.

I didn't like Bare Minerals either. It made me look oily, not dewy.
I use Neutrogena. (I love that grapefruit scrub you gave me, btw.) They make products for sensitive skin if you're worried about reactions. One of my favorites is the deep cleaning cream. I also like the pore-refining cleanser as well.

For cleansers, makeup, etc., I used to be all Clinique all the time — because I only buy during bonus times and love all the free samples you get along with it. I'm a sucker for free stuff! But I've started branching out this year somewhat. I've been using cleansers from this company online called Great Skin, which I think has helped me not have dry patches on my face. And I am in love with tinted moisturizer instead of foundation too. I like Stilla at Sephora the best.

Mary Kay skin care has been very good for me, 25 years and counting. I'm enjoying the new Time Wise mineral make-up, very nice. Good skin is the foundation of everything else you put on it.
My mother in law has used Mary Kay since the 60's and she looks marvelous!
